POOL COVERS

HOW TO MAINTAIN

To make your pool cover long-lasting and make its life longer in terms of durability and functioning you need to follow some essential maintenance tips because it’s a heavy investment and making the life of your cover longer is very essential.

Regular Inspection

Regular visual inspection is essential to the longevity of your pool cover fabric and mechanism. Before running your cover check for rips, worn edges, or tears anywhere on the cover. After a rainstorm it is common for water to pool between your bond beam and tube causing a horseshoe. You want to pump that water off prior to running your cover because doing so will pull your cover out of the track.

Proper Cleaning

Proper and regular cleaning is also important to remove all kinds of debris, leaves and buildup in the cover tracks. You can take a garden hose to clean out the tracks- DO NOT use a pressure washer. You can also use a blower to clean the light debris like grass, leaves etc.

Checking proper functioning

Regularly checking the mechanism, ropes, pulleys and sliders will increase the life of your cover system. We recommend an annual tune-up of your system
